best wired mouse for laptop
The mouse is one of the most popular peripherals for computer systems. Usually, even if you use a laptop, adding one in the mix makes it easier to work. And mice come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and price points.
With that said, reliability and longevity remain two of the most important factors you need to consider. So, you shouldn’t have to invest in an expensive mouse if an ordinary mouse will do.

With its combination of comfort, high-end gaming performance, and productivity features, the Razer Basilisk V3 is the best wired mouse we’ve tested. An ergonomic right-handed shape makes it comfortable for long gaming sessions or even full work days. The customization software allows you to change programmable buttons, as well as other settings. Using the scroll wheel quickly, you can activate the fast free-scroll mode as well as the precise notched scrolling mode. Free-scrolling is a feature that is more common on premium work mice and is useful for scanning long websites or documents quickly.
With exceptional click latency and a sensor that performs as well as or better than most mice in this price range, it is well suited for any type of gaming. Also, its cable is lightweight, flexible, and won’t obstruct your gaming experience. Because of all these features, this mouse is quite heavy compared to most gaming options, so you won’t be able to use it if your game only requires quick movements, like FPSs.
There’s a mouse called the Logitech G502 HERO that’s similar in shape, features, and price, and it is typically available for around the same price. However, it’s currently on sale and its lowest price ever. Due to its current pricing, it is worth considering despite its drawbacks, such as being a bit heavier, having less high-quality cable and feet, and having a slightly lower click latency.

You can’t go wrong with the Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse if you’re looking for a no-nonsense mid-range mouse that feels well built, does its job, and even can handle casual gaming. It features an ergonomic right-handed shape and textured rubber sides for added grip in the design of this mouse, inspired by Microsoft’s classic IntelliMouse 3.0 from 1996. Medium-sized hands, large hands, and even extra-large hands will fit well in it, but small hands aren’t a good fit using any grip.
In addition to being relatively flexible, the braided cable glides smoothly on mousepads and desks thanks to its flexible feet. On the left, there are two well-placed side buttons, and although the scroll wheel lacks tilt inputs and free-scrolling features like our top pick, the Razer Basilisk V3, it feels precise and has well-defined steps. In contrast to work mice that feature muted clicks, the scroll wheel and click buttons are too loud. It has also been updated with a significantly improved sensor, providing a respectable performance for casual games in a wide range of genres. We don’t recommend this mouse for playing FPS or other competitive, fast-paced games because, although the click latency is good, it’s still higher than most of its dedicated gaming options’ click latency.

In spite of its gaming mouse name, the Razer Viper Mini is a very straightforward mouse that is suitable for everyday browsing and office work. If you’re looking for something in the budget range, we recommend you check out the Razer Viper Mini. Based on the popular Razer Viper, its built quality feels just as good as the larger version despite its scaled-down size. If you use a fingertip grip, the shape makes it a comfortable pick for any hand size. Its shape makes it well-suited to small hands with any grip type. The size of the controller also makes it lightweight, which makes it an excellent choice for fans of fast-paced, reaction-based games that require lightning-fast reactions.
Aside from its low click latency, it performs significantly better than many other gaming options at this price point, even though it does not have Razer’s latest, top-of-the-line sensor. In any gaming genre, it is more than capable of delivering consistent, accurate performance. Furthermore, it has better mouse feet than other budget options, and it has a more lightweight and flexible cable than our mid-range pick, the Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse, though not quite as flexible as Razer Basilisk V3’s cable. The mouse offers excellent value for money, and few mice can match its performance for the price.

Review
Our recommendation is the Logitech M100 if you’re looking for something cheaper and simpler. Although it is inexpensive, it doesn’t feel flimsy. However, the plastic does not feel as high-quality as it does in Logitech mice with higher prices. A simple scroll wheel and two primary click buttons make up the mouse. However, the rubber cable is stiff, and the mouse feet are tiny and don’t glide as smoothly as those on the Razer Viper Mini. The mouse’s sensor performance isn’t quite as good as other options on this list, but it’s sufficient for everyday browsing and productivity tasks.
Apart from that, it is pretty small. A palm grip is great for small or medium-sized hands, and a fingertip grip is great for larger hands, but it may not be very comfortable if you plan to use the mouse for a full 8-hour shift. The Logitech B100 looks very similar to this mouse, but it comes in a different package when you shop for it. The AmazonBasics 3-Button USB Wired Mouse is a great option if you want to buy a lot of mice and want something cheaper. Its lower price tag can be helpful if you need many mice for an office, even though the build quality isn’t quite as good as the Logitech, and the sensor doesn’t perform as well.

Final thoughts on best wired mouse for laptop
The wired mice we recommended above are what we believe to be the best at the moment. Besides price (a cheaper mouse wins over a more expensive one if the difference isn’t worth it), we also take feedback from visitors into consideration, as well as availability (no mice that are hard to find or almost out of stock everywhere).
We have reviewed all of our mice, so you don’t have to worry about getting too caught up in the details if you prefer to do the work of choosing yourself. There is no perfect mouse for every use, but most mice are great enough to please most people, and differences are usually barely noticeable.
