Why Don’t Motherboard Feature their Own Graphics Cards?
It was previously the case that MOBOs had a dedicated graphics chipset. However, this changed when processors had integrated graphics. Having redundant low level graphics cards at the same time, such as MOBO ‘onboard graphics’ and processor ‘integrated graphics’, is unnecessary and adds to unnecessary costs.
Onboard Graphics vs CPU Integrated Graphics
Onboard graphics simply refers to the ability of the motherboard to support a CPU with an integrated graphics card, as well as the display ports. The confusion arises from the way specifications are written.
A normal person would understand this to mean an integrated chipset on the motherboard, but it just adds to confusion because it also says “integrated graphics processor-Intel HD Graphics”.
However, on the bottom, it clarifies that onboard graphics do actually depend on the CPU, and that this support actually varies from CPU to CPU.

Can These MOBO Support 4K Resolution?
It’s important to note that even though the integrated graphics support 4K resolution, whether your motherboard can support it depends on the ports available. Basically, you’ll need at least one HDMI port, DisplayPort port or Thunderbolt 3.0 port on your motherboard to display 4K.
There are also differences between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4. Of course, there are outliers, as both HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 are capable of displaying 4K resolutions at 30Hz refresh rates, but HDMI 2.0 can handle 4K resolutions at 60Hz refresh rates. Some products are always weirdly unique. One of those products is the motherboard featured in the following video. You may refer to this motherboard as a motherboard with onboard graphics, but it is not readily available on the market.
