Zotac GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity Review

Zotac GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity Zotac is one of the few third-party vendors in world  that has been able to acquire sufficient stock of the brand-new RTX 30-series GPUs. We were given the rare opportunity to test the top-of-the-line RTX 3090 Trinity GPU, which has 24 GB of GDDR6X memory and the most recent IceStorm 2.0 cooling system, which is also on the Zotac RTX 3080 GPU.

The flagship product from Zotac and NVIDIA is far ahead of its predecessor and occasionally shows gains in the double digits. These RTX 3090 GPUs are not your typical offerings; instead, they should be compared to NVIDIA’s TITAN RTX, which went on sale for a whopping $3,000 at launch. The Turing generation, on the other hand, has been pushed to the side with NVIDIA’s ampere family of GPUs due to the benefits that come with the new GPU. The add-in board (AiB) partners’ offerings of the RTX 3090, which is a spiritual successor to the Titan RTX, provide better availability and more variety. We will discuss all of its performance enhancements and how it surpasses even the Titan series in our evaluation.

Specifications and Design

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX™ 3090 Trinity

The custom PCB used in the Zotac GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity sets it apart from NVIDIA’s “Founders Edition.” Similar to Zotac’s RTX 3080 and RTX 2080Ti offerings, the triple-fan cooling system features three groups of aluminum fin-stack array heatsinks and an 11-blade design. The “IceStorm 2.0” cooling system is a better option for providing the GPU with the airflow it requires. If you want to overclock the GPU, you can also adjust the fan speeds with the new FireStorm utility app, though most games won’t require you to do so right now.

The Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity may be very huge however it actually utilizes the standard 2.5-opening card which implies you won’t be expected to surrender the PCIe extension space. Having said that, at 12.5 inches, the GPU is quite long. With the end goal of this survey, we updated our PC case to the Corsair 4000D Wind current that was great for our arrangement. The case is ideal for larger GPUs that require additional cooling and space. Also related:    best graphic cards for 4k gaming    Read more on   Best GPU for rendering .

Standard ports

The standard ports, which support outputs of up to 8K at 60 Hz, can be found at the back, including three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. Additionally, the FireStorm utility app can be used to customize the Zotac Gaming RGB logo that can be found on the side of the GPU. The front and back of the RTX 3090 Trinity offers metal kick the bucket cast at the front and the back.

The RTX 3090 Trinity, like the RTX 3080, makes use of the standard dual 8-pin connectors rather than the brand-new 12-pin connector that is included in the Founders Edition model. Nevertheless, the port is positioned more toward the middle than the right edge. It makes link the executives somewhat of an undertaking however since it doesn’t actually agree with the general arrangement because of its situation.

The RTX 3090 Trinity has a staggering 10,496 CUDA cores, 328 Tensor cores, 82 RT cores, 328 TMUs, and 112 ROPs in terms of specifications. The lift recurrence is set at 1695 Mhz and has 24GB of GDDR6X memory. In addition to ray tracing, lighting, shadows, reflection, ambient-occlusion, and global illumination, the new Nvidia GPUs also render 3D graphics. The second generation of RTX Cards introduces ray-traced motion-blue and has dedicated hardware for the new feature, although these features are present in its predecessors as well. Also related:   Best Graphics Cards For VR Gaming    Also related: best GPU for gaming under $500

Testing parameters

Except for a few major modifications, our main rig’s components are nearly identical for our testing purposes. We changed out our case with the Corsair 4000D Wind current as it could oblige the GPU effectively and keep it cool with its various fans. For Intel’s most recent Core i9-9900K CPU and Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32Gb DDR4 4000Mhz RAM, we even replaced the AIO cooler with the Corsair iCue H100i Elite CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler. With games like Cyperpunk 2077, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Battlefield V, and Call of Duty Warzone, it is probably one of the most powerful PCs to test the Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity. We also received LG’s most recent Ultragear 27GN950 4K 144 Hz IPS display so that we could test the frame at a different resolution.

Performance in Games: FPS, Ray Tracing, and DLSS

In terms of performance, the Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity’s power is probably best demonstrated by these graphs that show the average FPS performance of various games at various resolutions. In the Fire Strike Ultra test conducted by 3DMark, the Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity performed 39% better than Nvidia’s RTX Titan at 1440p. The RTX 3090 Trinity outperformed the RTX Titan by 35% in the same benchmark’s “Extreme” setting.

The Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity card outperforms the RTX 3090 when tested against games, but that’s not the only use for this card. The RTX 3090 should be able to produce 8K resolution, but we were unable to test it. However, we were able to test 4K gaming FPS with LG’s most recent monitor, which is where you will notice the greatest gain in FPS and performance. Some of the FPS in various games that we tested with our test bench build are shown here.

One can see from the charts that at 4K goal the RTX 3090 stands its ground, particularly when contrasted with past RTX cards. The Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity’s average 4K FPS would be around 109 FPS, whereas the RTX 3080’s average FPS would be around 97.4. It is also important to note that, despite the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 was not particularly optimized at launch, it was able to achieve incredible scores in our test. Having said that, we would have experienced even lower average frames per second if the game hadn’t used DLSS 2.0. Cyberpunk 2077 would be a mess without DLSS, and Nvidia’s AI-powered super sampling technology literally saves the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 and DLSS on the RTX 3090

Cyberpunk 2077 is best played on a PC, and Nvidia’s DLSS technology and ray-tracing capabilities make it possible. We evaluated the game’s performance, quality, and balance using a variety of RT presets with DLSS enabled. Based on various ray-tracing settings and resolutions, here are our average FPS numbers. The game ran at an average frame rate of 67.2 at 1920×1080 (Full HD) resolution using the RT Ultra and DLSS Quality presets, while the Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity achieved 77.7 at 1440p resolution using the same settings.

The GPU shines brightest at 4K, achieving 54.8 frames per second using the RT Ultra and DLSS performance presets. To put things in perspective, my own Zotact 2080 Ti managed just 34.8 frames per second at 4K with the same settings. It is evident that the new RTX 30-series GPUs are the best choice for playing Cyberpunk 2077 because they have sufficient processing power to handle RT Ultra settings and provide the best visual experience simultaneously. Also related: Best Graphics Cards for Intel i9 12900k.        Read more on   Best Gpus For Small Form Factor Pc

Final thoughts on  Zotac GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity Review

When everything is taken into account, the Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity is future-proof and will be able to handle the majority of the games of the next generation that come out in the coming years. Although the 24GB of VRAM is definitely excessive, it may be sufficient for the upcoming years. You don’t have to worry about games that won’t run smoothly on this GPU because most new consoles don’t have enough VRAM, like the RTX 3090. Having said that, the Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity costs Rs 1.5 Lakh which could be a colossal speculation right now. This GPU will unquestionably provide you with the ultimate 4K experience, but when you consider performance per dollar; For the time being, the better deal is the RTX 3080 GPU.
